First, the dental implants are placed in your jaw

Finding this dental practice feels like 40 years too late for me but we are working through my dental issues with success, this is easiest the best dentist practice I have dealt with.Always a positive experience. And that's coming from someone who has never had great dentist experience since a kid.I always feel welcome from the minute I walk in to the reception to the minute I leave the treatment room. Never feel judged. Just find it easy to follow their instructions and get the results required.I travel an hour and half to get to this practice, so sure I could get a dentist closer to home. I was completely devastated on Saturday 20th December when my temporary cap on one of my incisors broke off. My own NHS dentist was closed and I called Dorset Dental Clinic in desperation and the young receptionist who was really lovely and empathetic arranged for me to see Mr Philip McCauley that afternoon. She was frontline and amazing. Philip McCauley was so kind and understanding and although there wasn’t much tooth left he glued the temporary cap back on for now. Being this is a tooth in the front it was traumatising to think I would be toothless for Christmas and my birthday just after. But huge thanks to Philip for helping me in my plight albeit a temporary measure. All very efficient, reassuring and professional. I had an implant done at a different surgery many years ago, over 15 years ago and the technique has improved hugely and a lot less intrusive. The initial operation was quicker than my first implant, I think the whole process took less than 45 mins. Good explanation of subsequent medications and post operative care.

I never thought I would write a review praising a dentist. I was a grown up baby absolutely terrified of dentists. I would literally shake and make myself ill just sitting in the waiting room. However, I found Dorset Dental Clinic who actually listened to my fears and have now totally transformed my look. My teeth were so bad that it took a 5 hour operation under anesthetic to remove the lot and completely replace with new. ❗❗❗ALERT FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE FOREIGNERS❗❗❗I came across this place, as my tooth was moving following an implant that was done a few months ago, and it was needed to be fixed.The doctor that saw me was that manager of this surgery. The first question that he asked me where i am from and where the tooth was done and how much i payed.He was not able to get the tooth out, therefore he started to proceed further but he did not explain me what he was doing and if i was agreeing to what he was doing and that he damaged my tooth.Furthermore, he took an x tray and said that i will need to came back to do again the tooth.I came out of the cabinet with the tooth fixed temporarily, but after a few weeks fall out.I left the dental surgery, with no explanation and i have been told that " has been fixed". And i have been charged with £100 for what?!I have been in this country for over 10 years, but i have never felt this way. Please if you are foreigner avoid this place.The reception and the dental nurse assistant were friendly and kind, but the doctor terrible.

I was looking for a practice that I believed would do a good job at replacing my 12 year old crown. I had my initial consultation with Ben where he explained the process and gave me a quote, I then had two further appointments one for the removal of my old crown where a temporary crown was fitted and the second 2 weeks later for my new crown. Firstly I was extremely pleased I was able to get Saturday appointments, Ben made me feel at ease, happy to answer questions, I’m happy with the final outcome and have become more confident with my smile. The first time since I was 17 that I have had a kind and considerate dentist. As my teeth were in poor shape and I had a costly but ill fitting part plate ,I decided to have full mouth implants.After extensive measurements X rays etc. The teeth were fitted under anaesthetic in 1 session.They are fantastic and a real life changer.Obviously they are expensive and require maintenance but the pleasure of eating properly and smiling spontaneously make.up for it.All the staff are professional and caring and the practice, though small , has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

I can highly recommend this clinic for all specialist implant and other dental services. I have had remakable and sympathetic treatment from when I first met Philip for my implants some years ago. The Hygiene Therapist has worked with me to look after my teeth to a far better condition and the equipment is bang up to date so not much discomfort any more.I highly recommend both the dental and hygiene sectors.

I had a consultation with Dorset Dental Implants to enquire about veneers and implants.The staff where very knowledgeable and explained in detail the process and options available.There was no hard sell to push expensive options and listened and advised on all my questions. Very nice lady at the reception who took me to the waiting room and offered me something to drink.My dentist Zuzanna is a very smiling person with a professional approach. I have never liked going to the dentist and for the first time in 50 years i can honestly say i don’t mind going to this one! From the minute you walk in everyone is super friendly and talk to you in very down to earth and unrushed manner! The treatment plan was explained clearly and every step of the way i felt looked after, I really like the fact the team rang me the day after the first part of my implant treatment to see how are was doing which i thought was tip top and made me feel valued and looked after. Philip is very good at what he does and he has built a very good team around him. So i recommend the practise 100%

Potential customers please note - this dental clinic is an absolute disgrace and rip off elderly people in this area. It cost my father £95 in fees to firstly see a dental nurse for a pointless consultation and then to see the dentist on a second visit before the £7K quotation price for 2 implants was given to him. This was a straight forward procedure which we have had completed elsewhere for £4K. My father told the dentist his prices were double the price compared to a private dentist in West London and his rude response was to tell my father to go back there!If you are looking for a quote for implants please don't waste £95 like my father did - stay away and try elsewhere.

This has got to be the best dental clinic I have ever been to in the uk, I suffer with anxiety so was very nervous about visiting but the receptionist is warm and welcoming and put me at ease straight away. I went for a consultation with the nurse and she was absolutely lovely too, so informative and friendly. I’m a new patient here so yet to see the dentist, but already I’m not anxious about my appointment with him, and I’m looking forward to future appointments and getting my teeth finally sorted out.

The service isn't solely based on Dr. Phillips's qualities.After our first appointment, the team reassured me about the process, recommending a deep cleaning.The appointment was scheduled with several reminders, confirming the exact time.Of course, I arrived on Saturday morning on time.I waited and waited, listening to young women chatting loudly and laughing as loudly as they could from the poorly soundproofed treatment room. I was informed about the best restaurants and the favorite dishes of their partners and children. When the door opened, a client left, and the hygienist came to get me, still basking in the afterglow of the previous laughter.She apologized for the 40-minute delay. Seeing my face, she apologized and understood I wasn't smiling and wasn't in the mood to listen to her tell me about her life.The treatment with Dr. Phillips and his team went perfectly. During my subsequent hygienist consultations, I avoided having to go with that type of person. But a year after the procedure, I have no choice. And of course, this time again, the hygienist was very late.I'm not convinced.I may have made a bad choice

Oh my word.Finally a dentist that really does look after nervous patients.I've not been to the dentist for many years, my teeth were bad, but each time i went i was sick, shaking and crying. I'd got to the stage that i was resticking teeth back in with temporary fillings.I had no confidence and always hiding my smile.I saw an offer with Dorset Dental Clinic on facebook and thought free consultation was a good chance to see what i could do.Easy to book and lovely relaxing waiting room.My first appointment was with Charlotte who wanted to find out what I wanted and why i was there, lovely and friendly and such a compassionate lady. She gently guided me through.Next was to see philip mcauley, again, reassuring caring attitude, checked my mouth and did ct scan and was advised I could have dental implants, which i had previously asked about, he advised seeing hygenist first, which i was nervous about as had only seen dentist sedated fo any treatment before.I needn't have worried their new airsystem, considering i hadn't been to a dentist for over 10 years was painfree without the horrible noises, the hygienist was again very caring, checking i was ok, but no problems at all.Each appointment I had more trust in this dental practice, something extremely important to me.On seeing philip next, it was agreed i could have the implants on my upper jaw, removing all teeth and placing the temporary implants in on one day and have sedation.The day came and the staff made me feel calm, the anaesthetist came in and talked me through how it works and informed me that i wouldn't be asleep but that i would be at a level that would mean i wouldn't be aware of what's going on.And if he saw i was anxious at any point would adjust the level to calm me.He was true to his word.I wasn't aware of anything. In 4 hours i had been transformed. A wide smile looked back at me.And the weirdest thing, all that work and no pain!How??!! All i had was numb lips that looked like i had botox.A short course of antibiotics and steroids and pain killers were given with aftercare instructions.You may lisp while your lips are swollen but it soon passes.And this practice was £10000 cheaper than the last practice quoted me for.You really won't regret contacting Dorset Dental Clinic. I am a total convert, I'm not scared to visit the dentist now, i know they will care for me in the best possible way.Thank you to each and every one of you.

I tried to book with this practice as a new patient and paid a deposit, only to later discover that I wouldn’t even be seeing a dentist. That information was conveniently not made clear upfront. When I questioned this, I was told the earliest appointment with an actual dentist wouldn’t be until March — completely unacceptable.Communication is just as bad. It takes around six hours for anyone to return a call, so if you have anything even remotely urgent, you’re essentially on your own. This is not how a healthcare service should operate.The whole experience feels like a cash-grab: take deposits, sign people up quickly, then fob them off with substandard or inappropriate appointments. There’s a clear lack of transparency, poor organisation, and no regard for patients’ time or needs.I have zero confidence in the level of care they provide based on this experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place and looking elsewhere if you value proper treatment and honest communication.

I broke a molar and was in a lot of pain. I couldn’t find a dentist anywhere so I tried these guys… I left a message and they got back to me within an hour. The lovely receptionist booked an appointment for me later that afternoon. The dentist then phoned me too to get more detail about my tooth problem which was a nice touch.I saw Shannon and her nurse who were incredible. All three ladies were very professional and extremely caring.I live over an hour away from Dorset dental clinic however would have no hesitation in going back there and am seriously considering using them all the time… They really were excellent. Thank you DDC…I have also just received an e mail from them with all the detail of my treatment including the picture of the x-ray they took so I can pass it on to my dentist to help him know all the information. This is my first ever visit to a dental facility. i didn't really know what to expect as it was apparent i couldn't "run away" from the dentist any longer.Right from the entrance, i was warmly welcomed. i felt i was visiting a friend i hadn't seen in a long while. This feeling made me more relaxed, while being attended to by a member of staff.This initial consultation went well as the staff patiently took me through available options specific to my issue, the fees (though kind of high), and the payment plans, assuring me that the surgery would work with me on whichever option i can afford to take.No regrets, though.

Everyone at the clinic is very kind and competent, and I’m pleased with the final result from Invisalign and an implant, but it’s not trivial, and I wish there had been more honesty upfront about everything that’s involved before the first non-refundable appointment.Wearing retainers for life (3 months full time then reducing to nights), nearly two years full time in aligners, which you have to take out to eat or drink, but are supposed to wear at least 20 hours a day, and are made more visible by attachments cemented onto almost every tooth after (acid etching to make them stick), a metal button with elastic band between jaws for a while. The whitening was painful so I gave up.If you really want your teeth done, I’m sure Dorset Dental is one of the best, but perhaps we should normalise wonky teeth instead?Pics are before, during and after

I needed 3 fillings and Shannon made me feel at ease for all 3 of them. I had to come back for another session to complete the final two but as Shannon was so calm and professional throughout my first appointment, I was not worried to come back for a more complicated filling. I was really happy with the end result, the white fillings mean they aren’t noticeable and Shannon has done such a great job I don’t even notice I had any. Shannon was polite and friendly throughout the process and reassured me and made me feel comfortable at every step. I will definitely come back to see Shannon for any future dental appointments!

By far, the best dental clinic I have been to in the south. The staff here are very professional and knowledgeable, they take the time to explain things very clearly and politely. Dr. Mccauley who treated me recognised that I needed urgent care and was able to treat me quickly. As someone who is terrified of needles (and dentists generally), he was very understanding, trustworthy and helped me to feel relaxed. The service here has been impeccable really, a much higher standard than anywhere else I’ve been. I would definitely recommend Dorset Dental Clinic.

Wow what an amazing experience I'm so nervous of the dentist and had put off going until it got to the point I couldn't. I found this dental practice by chance as I rang around on a Saturday for an emergency appointment and I'm so glad I came across them. Kayleigh, Phillip and Karima and all the other nurses there are lovely and talked me through everything. The hygienist clean with the best of the best tools they use was the most painless I've ever had...and they had a lot to clean after 3 years putting off the dentist. My teeth look amazing after 1 treatment. Also the decor in there is lovely and welcoming. Actually looking forward to going back and getting my teeth back in top top condition with them.

I am in the middle of a treatment plan and so far so good. From the outset all the staff are nice and the dentist explains options in a clear , friendly way. I can give further comment on the completion of the required work but I am confident there will only be a good outcome. Many thanks.

I have been visiting Dorset Dental Clinic for over a year now. With all my appointments being with Zuzanna, who is a dental therapist. She is fantastic at her job. Always making sure that I’m comfortable and aware of work that is needed. She’s also informed me and educated me on how to maintain proper oral health. I look forward to each appointment as I know I’ll be looked after and provided with the best care. I couldn’t recommend her more.

Outstanding dental practice, having hated the dentist since I was young, I found that the surgery was warm and welcoming offering a great pain free service , very professional and competent in their areas of practice. I was unfortunately involved in an accident that knocked out my front tooth, meaning I needed an implant and a crown. Throughout the accident from the immediate to the following months, the team who work there were totally supportive and informative of the actions required and the overall process. With the professionalism and expertise of Dr Phillip and Dr Ben, I was able to get my smile back, looking even better than it was before at the best price I could find. Definitely highly recommended!

Brilliant, at every stage my treatment has been explained to me and carried out professionally and cheerfully. I started with aligners to correct the position of my teeth, with an implant after and then 2 veneers. Would definitely recommend Sara Belo for aligners.I get lots of comments now saying how good my teeth look. Thanks to everyone at the practice.

Dorset Dental Clinic have just completed the fitting of five implants to fill gaps in my teeth, in both upper and lower jaws.The process took a few months from start to finish, but I am absolutely delighted with the outcome. The staff are completely professional and reassuring, and the most up to date technology is used throughout. I live over an hours drive away and visited the practice five times.I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Love this place, very professional and always willing to help.Been here a few times now and in my experience of dental treatment from a patient aspect (yes I have a few fillings) this clinic is by far the best.
